Frequently Asked Questions

Please find below some answers to some frequently asked questions but if you cannot find answers to your queries below please contact us on camping@cardiganisland.com.

How large are the pitches?

The pitches are approximately 6m x 12m with parking for 1 car. Additional cars can be left in the Farm Park car park free of charge.

Can we bring a barbecue or have a camp fire?

You are welcome to bring a free standing barbecue or fire pit which MUST be raised off the grass. Blocks are available in the wash up hut. However we do not permit ground fires or Chinese lanterns.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome to stay on the campsite and are charged at £1 per night. Dogs must not be left unattended and must be kept on a short lead at all times both on the campsite and in the Farm Park. You must clear up after your dog immediately. Dogs (apart from assistance dogs) are not allowed into the indoor café but are allowed onto the outdoor café patio area where bowls of water are provided.

Is there a minimum stay?

No you can stay just for 1 night should you wish.

Is there a checking in and checking out time?

Your pitch will be available from 1pm (earlier outside school holidays). We ask that where possible you arrive before the Farm Park closes at 6pm so you can check-in on arrival at the Entrance Desk. If you will arrive after this time please make us aware so we can make arrangements. You must arrive before 11pm so as not to disturb other campers. Checkout is by 12pm but you are welcome to stay in the Farm Park until closing.

Do we have to pay to enter the Farm Park?

No, you have unlimited entry into the Farm Park included in the price of your stay.

Can I choose my pitch?

We will do our best to accommodate any requests but unfortunately cannot guarantee these, particularly during busy times such as school holidays.

Do the hook-ups take standard household plugs?

No, you need to have a hook-up cable with appropriate socket connection. These are available from camping shops, and can be bought with household sockets at the user end for those in tents.

Can I have visitors on site?

Yes, but should they decide to stay overnight or enter the Farm Park they must pay the relevant charge.

Do I need to bring levellers?

Yes, as the campsite is on a gentle slope facing the sea.

Do you have WiFi on the campsite?

Unfortunately not yet. Due to the lack of access to super fast broadband in our rural area we are unable to offer this to our customers at this present time.

Do you sell groceries and charcoal on site?

No, however there are lovely local butchers and bakeries in our nearest town, Cardigan, along with Tesco and Aldi supermarkets.

Do you have washing machines on site?

No, there is a launderette (Cardi Launderette) located in our nearest town, Cardigan.

Do you sell camping gas?

No, but there are a few places in the area selling gas.

Is there somewhere to go for a meal at night?

There are lots of places to eat in the local area and there are two hotels within walking distance serving evening meals.
